BOOKS Leslie McGuirk has written and illustrated nine children's picture books. Her first two books were originally published in Japan, by Kodansha. They were TUCKER FLIPS, and TUCKER OFF HIS ROCKER.
The Tucker series, including the third title, TUCKER OVER THE TOP, were published in the USA and England in 1999 and 2000. HO, HO, HO, TUCKER!, the fourth book in the series was published by Candlewick Press in 2005. Look for TUCKER'S SPOOKY HALLOWEEN to come out in the summer of 2007, along with LUCKY TUCKER about St. Patrick's Day. Macmillan Publishing in the UK came out with the PIP THE PENGUIN series of Lift-The-Flap board books in 2000. These four titles, SAY CHEESE PLEASE, HERE IT IS, IT'S ONLY ME, and HOW MANY? TOO MANY!, have been sold in over sixty countries, and have been translated into many languages. Currently they are also being published by Candlewick Press here in the United States. SNAIL BOY was also published by Candlewick Press, and Walker Books in the UK, and this title came out in June 2003. A novel for children, entitled Q, is in the works, and will be published by Candlewick in 2008. A companion book for Leslie McGuirk's QUEST FOR INSPIRATION workshops, is entitled BALONEY PONCHOS. Look for it in 2007. |
